NYCS: Designing Change: Advocacy 101
NYCS - Newcomer Youth Connections for Success In this course, we’ll explore what it means to be an advocate, strategies for outreach in your community, and effectively identifying what specific changes can improve our world. Together, we’ll gain skills in communication, research, and ways to engage our communities. Learning will take place through micro-case studies, breakout discussions, and versatile conversations around making change. This 4-day workshop assesses an individual’s strengths, interests, values and personality dimensions. It provides guidance for career exploration, familiarizing attendees with labour market research and potential career directions.
